  • As the official publication for ARAB ENVIRONMENT 2011, the 4th Annual Regional Conference of the Arab Forum for Environment and Development (AFED) on GREEN ECONOMY, Al-Bia Wal-Tanmia (Environment & Development) magazine is preparing to publish a series of special profiles on Green Economy, targeting the following sectors: Energy, Water, Agriculture, Industry, Cities & Green Buildings, Transport, Tourism and Waste Management.
  • The profiles will appear as of the September 2011 issue up until the December 2011 issue.
  • The November issue in particular will serve a double purpose as it will be the conference’s official publication, to be distributed on 27 October to all participants. This same issue will also appear on newsstands across the Arab countries later on 1 November, and will include the full conference report entitled Green Economy: Sustainable Transition in a Changing Arab World, a groundbreaking work which is being anticipated all around the Arab region.
  • Over 500 high-level regional and international delegates are expected to attend, including ministers and hundreds of corporate leaders and heads of organizations.

    For the September issue:

Booking deadline is 20 August. Deadline to receive artwork is 25 August.

     For the October issue:

Booking deadline is 15 September. Deadline to receive artwork is 22 September.

    For the November issue:

Booking deadline is 15 October. Deadline to receive artwork is 20 October.

     For the December issue:

  • Booking deadline is 15 November. Deadline to receive artwork is 22 November.
    AFED Annual Conference convenes under the patronage of President Michel Suleiman. The Conference is sponsored by the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID)
